We don't regard our tradition as a comfortable security but as an incitation to give our best every day.

The work my father initialized years ago, I continue today as the general manager of Severin Touristik. Africa and especially Kenya inspire me again and again. The endless wideness, the breathtaking animal kingdom, the sound of the rushing sea at the Indian Ocean, the friendly people. Together with dedicated friends my family has created two oasis, which reflect our deep connection with the country, which is on its way to democracy.

Instead of luxurious perfection, cool exclusiveness and replaceable anonymity, Severin Sea Lodge, Severin Safari Camp and Sunderland Hotel stand for human qualities. The success of Severin Hotels is based on the work and the familiar cooperation of over 350 employees in Germany and Kenya. This may sound naturally but it's unique: because only when friendliness and customer-oriented service not only find themselves in little details but also in the eyes of our guests and clients, we have attained our goal.

The philosophy of Severin is affected by clear values, special emotionality and earnest sustainability. We have high demands to an ecologial and socially responsible action. Many awards and certificates show our responsible work with the people, the country and its nature.

Our association "Skills for Kenya e.V." supports deprived young Kenyans in their country during their professional education and training in order to enable a better start in their working life and to help them develop their knowledge and skills.

Our family managed company has clearly defined its vision for the future. With hospitality, consequence and passion the history of the company shall be carried on by my son Sebastian Severin in the third generation. And our goal will remain the same: to guarantee you, our guests, unique holiday experiences!

Enjoy your time with us full of unparalleled impressions, let your spirits flow and experience from up close the beauty and diversity Africa and the Sauerland have to offer.

Best regards and "Karibu"
